2009 Cédric Bouchard Champagne Roses de Jeanne La Haute Lemblée
Based in the village of Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bar, Champagne Roses de Jeanne is the personal project of grower-producer Cédric Bouchard, known for producing single-vineyard, single-variety Champagnes that highlight the character of each parcel. La Haute Lemblée comes from a small Pinot Noir vineyard planted on Kimmeridgian limestone soils typical of the Aube. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by extended ageing on lees before disgorgement without dosage. The warm 2009 vintage delivered both richness and depth. Compared with Les Ursules, this cuvée often shows greater concentration, combining red apple, citrus and subtle brioche notes with fine mousse and pronounced chalky minerality.
