Based in the Langhe village of Vergne, G. D. Vajra produces Moscato d’Asti from Moscato Bianco grown on hillside vineyards planted on limestone soils. The wine is fermented at low temperature in stainless steel to preserve the aromatic character of the grape. Fermentation is stopped early to retain natural sweetness and gentle effervescence. Compared with the estate’s red wines, Moscato d’Asti offers a lighter and more delicate style, combining peach, orange blossom and citrus notes with refreshing sweetness and vibrant acidity.
