Based in the village of Chichée, Domaine Domaine Gilbert Picq et Ses Fils has built a reputation for crafting elegant, terroir-focused Chablis from some of the region’s finest vineyard sites. Vieilles Vignes is produced from older Chardonnay vines, many exceeding 50 years of age, planted on Kimmeridgian limestone soils that naturally limit yields and enhance concentration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by extended lees ageing to add texture and complexity while preserving the wine’s hallmark freshness. The 2024 vintage showcases impressive depth and precision, with aromas of ripe citrus, pear and white peach layered over notes of wet stone and chalk. The palate combines richness and energy, finishing with remarkable length and saline minerality.
