2024 Patrick Piuze Chablis Terroir de Courgis
The village of Courgis lies southwest of Chablis on a series of sun-exposed slopes that consistently produce wines of depth and character. Patrick Piuze was among the first producers to highlight the potential of this overlooked terroir, sourcing fruit from carefully selected parcels rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone. Fermentation with native yeasts and prolonged lees ageing allow the vineyard character to emerge without excessive winemaking influence. The 2024 vintage offers aromas of lemon, white peach and fresh herbs. The palate is layered and expressive, supported by vibrant acidity and a persistent mineral finish.
