Located in Polisot in the Côte des Bar, Champagne Marie-Courtin produces Présence from Chardonnay grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The estate follows organic and biodynamic principles with minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel followed by extended bottle ageing on lees before disgorgement with low dosage. The warm 2019 vintage delivered expressive fruit balanced by vibrant acidity. Compared with the estate’s Pinot Noir cuvées, Présence shows a more linear and mineral style, combining citrus, green apple and subtle brioche notes with crisp acidity and refined mousse.
