Based in Maremma in Tuscany, Fattoria Le Pupille produces Piemme as a single-vineyard expression of Sangiovese. The vineyard lies on clay and sandy soils that favour both ripeness and structure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel followed by ageing in French oak barrels to develop complexity and depth. The warm 2020 vintage delivered concentrated fruit balanced by freshness.
