2020 Champagne Marie Courtin Resonance Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut
Based in the Côte des Bar village of Polisot, Champagne Marie-Courtin produces Résonance from Pinot Noir grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. The estate works organically and emphasises minimal intervention to highlight vineyard character. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing on lees in bottle before disgorgement with minimal dosage. The warm 2020 vintage delivered generous fruit balanced by freshness. Compared with Efflorescence, Résonance often shows slightly greater depth and concentration, combining red apple, citrus and subtle brioche notes with fine mousse and pronounced mineral tension typical of Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar.
