Based in Rioja Alta near the Sierra de la Demanda, Dominio del Challao farms high-altitude vineyards with focus on Garnacha and minimal intervention winemaking. Angelita del Challao comes from mountain parcels planted above 650 metres on sandy, iron-rich clay soils with limestone influence. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and aged in neutral oak barrels, the wine preserves site purity rather than oak character. The warm 2020 vintage produced balanced ripeness with refined tannins.
