Based in Vouvray, Domaine du Clos Naudin produces traditional sparkling Chenin Blanc alongside its still wines. This Méthode Traditionnelle Extra Brut is made from estate Chenin Blanc grown on limestone soils. After fermentation in neutral oak, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and extended ageing on lees before disgorgement with minimal dosage. The 2019 vintage shows freshness and precision. Compared to the still wines of the domaine, the sparkling expression is lighter and more vibrant, combining citrus, green apple and chalky minerality with fine mousse and crisp finish.
