Based in La Chapelle-de-Guinchay in Beaujolais, Domaine Jules Desjourneys is the project of Fabien Duperray, focused on low-yield vineyards and meticulous vineyard work. Beaujolais Villages Blanc is produced from Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich soils across selected parcels in the northern Beaujolais hills. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels, followed by extended ageing on fine lees to build texture and complexity. The warm yet balanced 2020 vintage delivered ripe fruit supported by natural acidity. Compared to the domaine’s Mâcon wines, this cuvée is slightly more direct and mineral-driven, combining citrus, white peach and subtle almond notes with structured, limestone-driven finish. https://www.julesdesjourneys.fr/en/accueil/
