Based in the Wachau, Weingut F. X. Pichler farms steep terraces planted on gneiss soils that produce precise and mineral-driven Riesling. Steinertal is one of the coolest sites of the estate, emphasising tension and structure. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel and large oak vessels before ageing on fine lees. The cooler 2021 vintage delivered vibrant acidity and aromatic clarity.
