Based in the village of Wehlen in the Mosel Valley, Weingut Markus Molitor cultivates steep slate vineyards along the Mosel River, producing a wide range of site-specific Rieslings. Alte Reben Riesling Trocken comes from old vines planted on blue and grey slate soils that give the wine both concentration and mineral tension. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in large traditional oak fuder casks, followed by extended lees ageing. The balanced 2022 vintage delivered vibrant fruit and fresh acidity.
