Located in the Mosel Valley, Weingut Markus Molitor farms some of the region’s most historic vineyards on steep slate slopes. Bernkasteler Lay Beerenauslese comes from grapes affected by noble rot harvested from this celebrated site overlooking the Mosel River. Fermentation takes place slowly in traditional oak fuder casks followed by extended maturation to develop complexity. The warm 2013 vintage allowed for excellent botrytis concentration.
