Based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia in Catalonia, Recaredo produces Turó d’en Mota from a historic single vineyard planted exclusively to Xarel·lo in 1940. The vineyard lies on limestone soils and is farmed organically. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by traditional bottle fermentation and exceptionally long ageing on lees before hand disgorgement. Bottled without dosage, the wine reflects both vineyard character and extended maturation. The 2011 vintage delivered remarkable depth and structure.
