Located in the village of Wintzenheim in Alsace, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht produces Hengst from one of the region’s most powerful Grand Cru vineyards. The site is planted on limestone and marl soils that give both richness and structure. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing on lees to develop depth. The warm 2022 vintage delivered both aromatic intensity and balance. Compared with the estate’s Turckheim Gewurztraminer, Hengst shows greater concentration and ageing potential, combining lychee, rose petal and spice with rich texture and long mineral finish typical of Grand Cru Alsace. https://www.zindhumbrecht.fr
