Montmains is one of Chablis’ most celebrated Premier Cru vineyards, situated on steep south-west facing slopes overlooking the Serein River. The combination of Kimmeridgian soils and favourable exposition produces wines renowned for their intensity, structure and ageing potential. Patrick Piuze employs indigenous yeast fermentation and careful lees ageing to emphasise the vineyard’s natural power and mineral depth. The 2024 vintage offers aromas of lemon zest, white peach and flint. The palate is concentrated and refined, supported by vibrant acidity and an impressively long finish.
