Based in the village of Chichée, Domaine Domaine Gilbert Picq et Ses Fils is recognised as one of Chablis’ most respected family estates, producing wines that beautifully express the nuances of individual vineyard sites. Premier Cru “Vosgros” comes from one of the appellation’s most highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards, located on the left bank of the Serein River where south-west-facing slopes maximise ripening while preserving freshness. The vineyard’s Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils provide both structure and minerality. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel followed by extended lees ageing to build texture and complexity. The 2024 vintage displays exceptional precision, with aromas of lemon curd, white peach and acacia blossom interwoven with notes of oyster shell and wet stone. The palate is concentrated yet refined, combining vibrant acidity, layered fruit and a long, saline finish characteristic of great Chablis Premier Cru.
