Sourced from vineyards surrounding the historic town of Tonnerre, just east of Chablis, Bourgogne Tonnerre showcases the same Kimmeridgian limestone influence that defines the region’s finest white wines. Patrick Piuze works closely with growers farming exceptional sites, allowing the unique character of the terroir to take centre stage. Fermentation occurs with native yeasts and the wine is aged on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity. The 2024 vintage reveals aromas of citrus, white peach and crushed oyster shell, accompanied by delicate floral notes. The palate is energetic and focused, supported by bright acidity and a distinctive mineral character that lingers through the finish.
