Located on the left bank of the Serein River, Butteaux forms part of the renowned Fourchaume sector and is recognised for producing some of Chablis’ most structured and age-worthy wines. Patrick Piuze’s meticulous vineyard selection and restrained winemaking approach allow the character of this exceptional site to be fully expressed. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by extended lees ageing to build texture and complexity. The 2024 vintage offers aromas of lemon curd, green apple and white flowers, complemented by notes of flint and crushed stone. The palate is precise and powerful, combining concentration, freshness and remarkable length.
