Based in Baños de Ebro, Bodegas Artuke produces site-driven wines from old bush vines in Rioja Alavesa. Pies Negros is sourced from multiple parcels around the village, planted mainly to Tempranillo with small amounts of Graciano, on calcareous clay soils. Fermented in concrete with native yeasts, it is aged in 500- and 600-litre French oak barrels to preserve fruit clarity. The 2022 vintage delivers vibrant energy and balance.
