Based in Savennières, Domaine du Closel Château des Vaults produces Chenin Blanc from historic vineyards on schist slopes overlooking the Loire. Clos du Papillon is one of the appellation’s most respected sites, planted on shallow schist soils. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak barrels, the wine develops depth and mineral complexity. The cooler 2021 vintage emphasised acidity and precision.
