Based in Maremma in Tuscany, Fattoria Le Pupille produces Solalto as a sweet dessert wine from grapes grown on sun-exposed hillside vineyards. The wine is made from Petit Manseng harvested late to achieve high sugar concentration while retaining acidity. Fermentation takes place slowly in small oak barrels followed by ageing to develop complexity. The warm 2020 vintage delivered both richness and freshness.
