Located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the southern part of Montalcino, Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona produces Brunello from vineyards planted to Sangiovese on clay and limestone soils influenced by the nearby Monte Amiata. Pianrosso is the estate’s flagship vineyard and consistently produces one of the region’s most structured Brunellos. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel followed by extended ageing in large Slavonian oak casks before bottle maturation. The balanced 2016 vintage delivered exceptional concentration and freshness.
