Located in Neive in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Massimo Rivetti is a family estate farming vineyards organically across the Barbaresco appellation. The Barbaresco cuvée is produced entirely from Nebbiolo grown on calcareous marl soils typical of the region. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel followed by ageing in large oak casks and smaller barrels to develop structure and complexity. The balanced 2017 vintage delivered ripe fruit with fresh acidity. Compared with the estate’s single-vineyard wines, this Barbaresco offers a broader expression of the appellation, combining red cherry, rose petal and spice with refined tannins and long mineral finish typical of Nebbiolo. https://www.massimorivetti.it
