Based in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, G. D. Vajra produces Ravera from Nebbiolo grown in the historic Ravera vineyard in Novello. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in large Slavonian oak casks to develop structure and complexity. The balanced 2020 vintage delivered ripe fruit supported by vibrant acidity. Compared with the powerful 2019 vintage, this release shows slightly softer tannins while maintaining the vineyard’s depth and mineral character, combining plum, cherry and spice with long structured finish. https://www.vajra.it
