Located in the village of Vergne above Barolo, G. D. Vajra farms vineyards across several historic Langhe sites. Dolcetto Coste & Fossati comes from two hillside parcels in La Morra planted on limestone and clay soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel followed by short maturation to preserve the grape’s natural freshness and fruit character. The balanced 2020 vintage delivered both ripeness and vibrant acidity. Compared with the estate’s classic Dolcetto d’Alba, this cuvée shows slightly greater structure and depth, combining dark cherry, plum and subtle almond notes with supple tannins and fresh finish typical of hillside Dolcetto. https://www.vajra.it
