Based in the Val do Salnés in Rías Baixas, Bodegas Zárate produces Balado from Albariño grown on shallow granitic soils in a historic vineyard parcel. The proximity to the Atlantic Ocean contributes both freshness and mineral character. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing on lees to develop depth and texture. The warm 2022 vintage delivered ripe fruit balanced by vibrant acidity.
