Located in the West Pomeranian region of north-western Poland, Winnica Turnau has become one of the leading names in Polish wine, demonstrating the remarkable potential of cool-climate viticulture. Produced entirely from Pinot Noir grown in the estate’s vineyards near Baniewice, this wine benefits from a long growing season and significant diurnal temperature variation, allowing the grapes to develop aromatic complexity while retaining freshness and elegance. Following fermentation, the wine is matured for approximately nine months in oak barrels, where it gains additional texture, subtle spice, and structural refinement without overshadowing the purity of the fruit. The 2022 vintage offers expressive aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, complemented by delicate notes of forest floor, sweet spice and a touch of vanilla. The palate is silky and balanced, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, elegant finish.
