Roche Pilée is sourced from a distinctive parcel within Morgon where decomposed granite soils and mature vines produce wines of remarkable finesse and precision. Jean-Paul and Charly Thévenet farm the site with great attention to detail, allowing the vineyard’s unique character to be fully expressed. Produced entirely from Gamay, the wine undergoes whole-cluster semi-carbonic fermentation with indigenous yeasts before ageing in neutral oak barrels to preserve freshness and complexity. The 2023 vintage displays aromas of blackberry, red plum and crushed stone. The palate is elegant and focused, combining fine structure with vibrant acidity and excellent persistence.
