2025 Bonnet-Huteau Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Clos Moulin Chartrie

Produced from Melon de Bourgogne grown in the Clos Moulin Chartrie vineyard in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, this wine is a distinctive expression of one of Domaine Bonnet-Huteau’s most important single-vineyard sites. The vineyard is rooted in shallow soils over orthogneiss bedrock, a geological formation that contributes the mineral precision and tension that define the wine. Certified organic and biodynamic, the estate places a strong emphasis on vineyard health and minimal intervention, allowing the character of the site to be fully expressed.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed before fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged on its fine lees for an extended period, enhancing texture and complexity while preserving freshness and purity. Careful maturation allows the wine to develop additional depth without losing the vibrant energy that is characteristic of the region.
The 2025 vintage offers aromas of citrus blossom, lemon zest, green apple and white peach, supported by subtle notes of sea spray, wet stone and delicate spice. The palate is focused and finely structured, combining bright acidity with a layered texture and pronounced mineral character. Concentrated yet precise, it unfolds with remarkable freshness and finishes long, dry and saline.
A refined and terroir-driven Muscadet, Clos Moulin Chartrie demonstrates the ageing potential and complexity that can be achieved from Melon de Bourgogne when grown on exceptional sites. It is a natural partner for oysters, shellfish, grilled seafood, white fish and fresh cheeses, while its freshness and mineral backbone make it equally enjoyable as an aperitif.
