Based in Dürnstein in the Wachau, Weingut Leo Alzinger is a family estate focused on precise, site-driven Grüner Veltliner and Riesling from steep Danube terraces. Loibenberg is a warm, east-facing vineyard on weathered gneiss with loess influence, producing powerful, structured wines. Classified as Smaragd, this represents the estate’s fullest Grüner Veltliner expression. The warm 2018 vintage was fermented mainly in stainless steel with extended lees ageing for texture.
