Based in Oberloiben in the Wachau, Weingut F. X. Pichler is recognised as one of Austria’s leading estates, producing precise and age-worthy wines from steep Danube terraces. Kellerberg is one of the region’s most celebrated vineyards, a south-facing site with ancient gneiss soils that deliver both power and mineral structure. Grüner Veltliner from this site is harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel and large oak casks before extended lees ageing. Classified as Smaragd, the wine represents the richest dry style of the Wachau.
