Located in Mercurol in the northern Rhône, Domaine Les 4 Vents is run by sisters Lucie Fourel and Nancy Cellier, who began bottling their family vineyards in 2010. The estate farms around ten hectares in the southern part of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, planted mainly to Syrah on gravel, clay and loess terraces. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless-steel vats followed by ageing partly in tank and partly in neutral oak barrels. The cooler 2021 vintage emphasised freshness and aromatic clarity. Compared with the estate’s smaller cuvées, this Crozes-Hermitage expresses the classic regional style, combining dark berry fruit, pepper and subtle violet notes with fine tannins and mineral balance typical of Syrah from this appellation.
