Based in Mercurol in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, Domaine Les 4 Vents cultivates Syrah on gravel and clay terraces south of the Hermitage hill. Les Pitchounettes is produced from younger vineyard parcels selected for their vibrant fruit and freshness. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional vats before ageing in neutral oak vessels and tanks to preserve purity. The warm 2022 vintage delivered expressive fruit balanced by lively acidity. Compared with the estate’s Crozes-Hermitage bottling, Les Pitchounettes shows a lighter and more approachable profile, combining red cherry, raspberry and black pepper notes with supple tannins and fresh mineral finish typical of northern Rhône Syrah.
