Based in Oberloiben in the Wachau, Weingut F. X. Pichler produces Unendlich as one of the estate’s most prestigious Grüner Veltliner cuvées. The wine is sourced from selected parcels within the Kellerberg vineyard planted on ancient gneiss terraces overlooking the Danube. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and large oak vessels followed by extended ageing on fine lees. The cooler 2021 vintage delivered remarkable balance and precision. Compared with the estate’s Smaragd wines, Unendlich shows greater concentration and longevity, combining ripe stone fruit, white pepper and mineral depth with extraordinary length. https://www.fx-pichler.at
