Located in Bierzo in northwest Spain, Michelini i Mufatto produces En el Camino from old-vine Mencía grown on slate and clay soils. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in neutral oak vessels to preserve freshness and vineyard character. The 2021–2022 vintages delivered vibrant fruit and balanced acidity. Compared with A Merced, this cuvée shows slightly greater aromatic lift, combining red cherry, raspberry and floral notes with elegant tannins and mineral tension typical of Bierzo.
