Located in Martinborough in New Zealand’s Wairarapa region, Kusuda Wines produces Pinot Noir from carefully managed low-yield vineyards planted on free-draining gravel soils. The estate is known for meticulous handwork in both vineyard and winery, with fermentation carried out using indigenous yeasts followed by maturation in French oak barrels to preserve precision and vineyard character. The warm 2023 vintage delivered vibrant fruit balanced by fresh acidity. Compared with the richer 2022 vintage, this release shows slightly greater aromatic lift and elegance, combining red cherry, wild herbs and subtle spice with refined tannins and long mineral finish typical of Martinborough Pinot Noir.
