Located in the mountainous vineyards of Priorat, Mas Martinet produces Els Escurçons from high-altitude Garnacha planted on licorella slate soils. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in French oak barrels. The balanced 2014 vintage delivered both freshness and structure. With additional bottle age the wine shows developed complexity, combining dried cherry, spice and mineral notes with refined tannins.
