Based in Gigondas at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, Moulin de la Gardette produces Cuvée Ventabren from selected hillside parcels planted mainly to Grenache with supporting Syrah and Mourvèdre. The vineyards lie on limestone-rich soils that provide both power and freshness. Fermentation takes place in traditional vats followed by ageing in oak vessels to develop structure. The cooler 2021 vintage emphasised balance and aromatic clarity. Compared with the estate’s Cuvée Tradition, Ventabren shows greater depth and structure, combining dark berry fruit, garrigue and spice with firm tannins and long Rhône finish. http://www.moulindelagardette.com/
