Based in the Montsant appellation in Catalonia, Venus La Universal produces Venus de la Figuera from Garnacha grown in the high-altitude village of La Figuera. The vineyards sit on limestone soils at elevation, which helps preserve freshness and aromatic lift. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in oak barrels to develop complexity. The warm 2015 vintage delivered both ripeness and structure.
