Located in Bierzo in northwest Spain, Michelini i Mufatto produces Encinado from old-vine Mencía grown on slate and clay soils. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in neutral oak vessels. The warm 2022 vintage delivered ripe fruit balanced by freshness.
