Located in the Bierzo region of northwest Spain, Michelini i Mufatto produces Valdesacia from old-vine Mencía grown on slate-rich hillside vineyards. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in neutral oak vessels to preserve fruit purity and mineral expression. The warm 2022 vintage delivered ripe fruit balanced by vibrant acidity.
